For a Kind Hearted Soul

This post is for the kind-hearted-humans. It’s for the givers, uplifters, nurturers, servers, lovers and healers that consistently do the nitty-gritty spiritual work.

Recently a friend ask, “When did you start your spiritual work…” I thought about their question a moment when they added, “…and why did you start doing it?”

I started in my 20’s because my life was in the crapper. I was working hard BUT I had a strong poverty consciousness. I wanted to believe life would get better, BUT I didn’t see how that was possible. I was hopeful BUT afraid to dream big because I didn’t want to be disappointed again.

Did you catch my Big BUT shining through?

Personally, I do spiritual work for a better quality of life. I desire happiness and continued peace of mind. What once felt like heavy-lifting spiritual work has now become easy, breezy lemon squeezy. In the beginning I’d remind myself a hundred times a day to affirm, relax, allow, visualize or meditate. I’d beat myself up for not being, “already where I wanted to be.” Today my practice feels way more comfortable.

Do you remember the start of your journey into higher consciousness? Back when you had to unlearn bad habits and learn how-to feel good again? On purpose!

You had to remember to hold positive thoughts and practice them consistently? In the beginning doing new things was unfamiliar. And it was hard at first. Honestly most people give up on themselves before making significant headway. Meanwhile, look at you today. Look how far you’ve come. Today your natural state is that of wellness and pure focus.

THE ULTIMATE ACT OF LOVE AND KINDNESS

Another reason for doing the inner work is because you like feeling good. You inner-stand choosing to feel good is the greatest asset you have in creating a happier life. Why am I pointing this out?

To remind you that your desire for a better life then and now, is the ultimate act of self-love and self-kindness. As healers and givers, we are used to giving to others first, us last. We were wired to take care of others first, us last. We did not know it then, but doing for everyone else before we filled our cup first, innocently set the tone for most of our adult imbalances.

My guides say, “A healer without grounded boundaries will first give, give, give, give, give energy out, out, out, out, out five times more than they receive it in return. If the healer receives at all.” It’s likened to you being hungry and someone giving you a single, stale cracker with molded cheese on it and you running right out to buy them a new BMW convertible to say, “Thank You” for the cracker. There is no balance. It’s not a match. It’s not an even exchange of energy and in the end you are not taking care of yourself.
Today, we’re still diehard lovers, givers and healers. The difference is, we have, over time practiced loving ourselves. I believe kindness is a win-win frequency. Giving kindness feels good. Receiving kindness feels good. And when you sincerely give kindness to yourself or others, it always comes back to all parties multiplied.

KINDNESS IS A WIN-WIN FREQUENCY

According to Dr. Gabor Mate’, we garner powerful benefits from being kind. He says, “Kindness, actually is not a gift that you’re giving to the other person. Although it is. It’s a gift you’re giving to yourself because you’re suffused with positive hormones. Oxytocin which is a love hormone. Endorphins, which is the pleasure hormones. …your body relaxes. Your blood pressure is lower. Your belly is in a state of warmth.”

“Now, you can’t pretend kindness. And the point is, it all happens in the body. So whether you’re in a state of hostility or in a state of kindness, they all have their own bodily manifestations. And kindness is a lot healthier for you.”

Every thought we think and feeling we feel has its own bodily manifestation. It’s advantageous to choose the best feeling thoughts. The better the thoughts, the higher the frequencies. The higher the frequencies, the better we feel. And we know feelings create 99.99% of our realities while action creates .01%. We get to choose every thought we think, so why not choose feel-good thoughts?

Today we’re well-versed in our spiritual practices. We’ve learned to create even exchanges of energy through them. We fill our cup first. We pre-pave our thoughts and emotions before we leave the house. We amplify our desires, not our resistance. We often live in appreciation. Today our good-feelings are ingrained habits. In essence, we’ve turned the turbulent tide of our past suffering into today’s calm waters, complete with diamonds of sunlight reflecting off its service.

Elizabth Kubler-Ross said, “I have never met a person whose greatest need was anything other than real, unconditional love. You can find it in a simple act of kindness toward someone who needs help. There is no mistaking love is the common fiber of life, the flame that heats our soul, energizes our spirit and supplies passion to our lives.”

Let’s take a page from Kubler-Ross and Dr. Mate’s book and elevate our consciousness using kind-hearted-connections to self and others. Yes, it feels more natural to be kind-hearted to others first. However, moving forward let’s make a soul-pact to be as equally thoughtful, and as sincere, and as kind to ourselves as well.

What do you say?

Yes! Great answer. And, until we meet again, remember to keep your thoughts, feelings and frequencies high, fast and pure so that you can Unlock the Universe With!

With Appreciation,

Eddie
